We decided on this trip at the last minute on Sunfest Weekend so a lot of the hotels were full. We searched on Orbitz, looking for a reasonably priced room.
If you remember the old days in Ocean City you’ll enjoy the Wellington Hotel. Housed in a classic-style OC building with lots of stairs, the interior has been remodeled quite nicely. We had a newly remodeled room with a king size bed in a decent sized room. All of the furnishings were new and functional. The bathroom had all new fixtures as well. The room, as well as the hallways and lobby, were all exceptionally clean. The TV’s appeared to be new as well and were a decent size. Off-street parking was adequate.
The desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, their restaurant recommendations were right on! We decided to stay an extra night but found that the hotel was closing down for the season and that there would be no staff on site that night. We were moved to an outside access room with a queen bed for the night. This room was also very clean. It was kind of strange to look at the parking lot, seeing our car alone, and realize that we were indeed the only people staying there! Thanks to the management for accommodating us!
