Reasonable prices, clean rooms!

We decided on this trip at the last minute on Sunfest Weekend so a lot of the hotels were full. We searched on Orbitz, looking for a reasonably priced room. If you remember the old days in Ocean City you'll enjoy the Wellington Hotel. Housed in a classic-style OC building with lots of stairs, the interior has been remodeled quite nicely. We had a newly remodeled room with a king size bed in a decent sized room. All of the furnishings were new and functional. The bathroom had all new fixtures as well. The room, as well as the hallways and lobby, were all exceptionally clean. The TV's appeared to be new as well and were a decent size. Off-street parking was adequate. The desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, their restaurant recommendations were right on! We decided to stay an extra night but found that the hotel was closing down for the season and that there would be no staff on site that night. We were moved to an outside access room with a queen bed for the night. This room was also very clean. It was kind of strange to look at the parking lot, seeing our car alone, and realize that we were indeed the only people staying there! Thanks to the management for accommodating us!

Excellent Service! Excellent Price! Well worth checking out!

EXCELLENT!! The staff at The Wellington Hotel in Ocean City, MD were very attentive. We had a question regarding the a/c, they were in our room within 2 minutes, literally! Very attentive to our needs. When we arrived back late, they saw us looking for a parking spot and the staff member took his time to walk out to the parking lot to let us know where we could park offsite (across the road - very accessible). I feel they went above and beyond to assure our stay was perfect. I definitely would recommend them to others vacationing in OC. The rooms are on the smaller side, but are very clean and comfortable, don't let that turn you away! They really do look like the photos online, another plus - to get what you expect. One thing we learned, the outlet in the bathroom is connected to the light switch! We thought the outlet was not working, we just had to turn the light on. My only suggestion to them would be to get a folding luggage stand; and if that's all I can recommend to them, they are doing an excellent job! Location is perfect - only one block (1 minute walk) from the boardwalk and right next to a beverage store. This is not an oceanview location, they do not have balconies overlooking the ocean, but still not a reason to overlook this gem of a hotel. The price we paid was 1/2 that of the other hotels around too! Highly recommend!

Nice Hotel Close to Beach/Boardwalk

This was a last minute booking and based on previous reviews, I honestly was not sure what to expect. I wanted something close to the beach/boardwalk, but did not want to spend a fortune on a room that we were just going to sleep in. I forewarned my teenage daughters that I did not know what we were getting, but that my feeling was that you go in with positive attitude. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was small, but CLEAN. The staff was always pleasant. They spoke to us every time we came and went (very often!) and were very nice. Parking lot is tight quarters, so it may not be suitable if you have a large vehicle but otherwise I did not have any problems with parking.

Very Good

Was in OC for a wedding. This hotel was cheap, but very nice. Room and lobby was clean and updated. Shower was small. The location was awesome. Lots of stores, food and attractions in walking distance. Hotel parking was tight but not a problem for us.

Close to the Beach

The room was very nice with fridge. Could see water from room and just 100' or so from boardwalk. Quiet area at night. Staff friendly and room clean and looked just like it was portrayed. Would come back.
